Congratulations to the East Cobb Astros 11u and East Cobb Astros 14u teams on winning their respective age groups at the Triple Crown Spring Frost held at the ECB Complex Feb 28th-March 2nd!

Pitching and defense was the key to the 11u Astros championship run as they gave up ONLY 9 runs in 5 games! This included a semifinal 1-0 no hit game pitched by Gunner Stockton against the Georgia Select. Also staring both on the mound(3 saves) and with some great defensive plays in CF was Ivan Reap. James Tibbs lead the hitting by belting 3 HRs in the event and Gunner Stockton added a 3 run HR in bracket play as well. The Astros defeated the SEB Gwinnett Black team in the championship game 4-1. Congrats 11u Astros!!

The 14u Astros Coach Dave Roberts said “I was generally pleased with the performance of the team at such an early stage in the season.” The Astros defeated the Georgia Select squad 7-6 in the Championship Game. Leading the way for the Astros was Anthony Seigler, Cartersville native, as he picked up the win in the Championship Game on the mound and was 6-9 (.667) at the plate during the tourney. Charley King, Will Banfield, and Levin Lackey also picked up wins in the event. Congrats 14u Astros!!
