Led by Kevin Baldwin, the 17u Astros have a long history as one of the premier teams in the country. The 17u Astros are committed to providing players with a variety of coaching expertise, including specialty pitching instruction by Guerry Baldwin. The Astros coaches are committed to:

• Improving player skills through instruction

• Providing exposure to highly competitive teams throughout the country

• Building a team atmosphere for players to grow their professional baseball careers and personally through strong leadership

The Astros at the 17 year old level and across every age in the program, strive to lead by example and follow the overall mission of East Cobb Baseball.

East Cobb Baseball Mission: To teach the integrity of the game of baseball and to help players understand the greatness of the game while learning the life lessons associated with baseball. To guide and enhance the process of advancing to the college or professional level. To provide the best learning atmosphere, the best competition, and the most fun the game of baseball has to offer to its participants.

Perfect Game 18u WWBA National Championship
The Astros defeated Team Elite Prime 1-0 to win their 3rd straight 18u WWBA.

Perfect Game WWBA Underclass World Championship
Due to lightening, the Astros ended the tournament with a 7-0-1 record and named co-champions with the Scorpions 2020 Founders Club.

East Cobb Baseball 17U Astros 2017 Highlights:

Perfect Game Elite Championship
The East Cobb Astros defeated Team Elite 18u Prime in the Upperclass age group of the PG Elite Championship by a score of 2-1.

Perfect Game WWBA National Championship
History has a way of repeating itself, and that was the case in the 18u WWBA National Championship, as the Astros defeated the Game On West Braves 8-2 to win their 2nd straight 18u WWBA.

East Cobb Baseball 17U Astros 2016 Highlights:

Perfect Game/East Cobb Invitational
The Astros played in a nail-biter as the championship game for the 18u Perfect Game/East Cobb Invitational went 9 innings. The Astros struck in the ninth inning to score two and win the championship by a final score of 5-3.

Perfect Game WWBA National Championship
The battle of the East Cobbs concluded with the Astros defeating the Yankees 2-0 to take the championship game of the 18u WWBA National Championship.

Wilson Premier Classic
The Wilson Premier Classic featured 14 2018 teams, making it the event’s deepest division. Come Sunday afternoon, following a 11-5 victory over Team Elite, the East Cobb Astros had every right to lay claim to being the best of the best. Winning the inaugural Wilson Premier Classic, East Cobb’s path to the championship was littered with taking down a who’s who of travel baseball.

East Cobb Baseball 17U Astros 2015 Highlights:

Perfect Game/EvoShield Classic
A four-run third inning was the biggest difference in this game, and Isaac Phillips, Rankin Woley & Payton Young powered the middle of the lineup with 2 hits apiece. Woley, who hit a double and a triple, and Young, who hit two doubles, also each drove in a pair of runs.

Perfect Game WWBA Jupiter Qualifier
The East Cobb Baseball Astros finished off a 6-0 weekend with a 5-0 win over Nelson Baseball School 18u in the WWBA National Qualifier championship game.
